  • Patent number: 7574437
Abstract: A method for identifying new customers or recently changed telephone services is disclosed. The methodology discovers systems and methods for capturing telephone numbers that appear on the records of recent telephone calls of a communications network, which can or cannot be a network customer, and categorizing the telephone number as a known telephone number or an unknown telephone number. The methodology includes looking-up a name and address for telephone numbers, which are categorized as unknown telephone numbers, in a current directory service. A comparison can be performed using the looked-up name and address from the current directory service with names and addresses in a historical data source. If the looked-up name and address from the current directory service differ from name and address in the historical data source, the unknown telephone number is identified as a new customer or a recently changed telephone service.

  • Patent number: 6722730
Abstract: A mounting method for mounting a plastic panel (12) to a vehicle substrate provides a support flange (24) on an inner surface of the panel. A reference nodule (28) is positioned on the inner surface of the panel. An elongate bracket (14) has an upper edge (34) thereof engaging the support flange (24). The bracket (14) has a reference notch (40) engaging the reference nodule (28) positioning the bracket (14) relative to the panel (12). A plurality of retainers (18) are mounted on the bracket (14). A double-sided adhesive tape (16) has a first adhesive on a first side thereof compatible for adhesion to the bracket (14) and a second adhesive on a second side thereof compatible for adhesion to the panel (12). The first side of the adhesive tape (16) is applied to the bracket (14) and the second side is applied to the panel (12). The tape (16) allows expansion and contraction movement of the panel (12) while securely retaining the panel (12) to the vehicle substrate.

  • Patent number: 6253968
Abstract: A method is provided for dosing powdered material from a supply container having a vertically suspending discharge tube of an elastically deformable material, by squeezing said discharge tube at locations, which periodically move along a part of the discharge tube length. In this method, the squeezing of the discharge tube is effected in a similar way as the flexible tube of a peristaltic pump of the type, with which the tube engages a support wall on one side and with which a peristaltic mechanism is provided on the opposite side for squeezing the tube according to a travelling wave, the length of which does not exceed one single wave length.

  • Patent number: 5346274
Abstract: A spoiler to rear deck lid assembly that absorbs energy from a rear impact while maintaining the connection of the spoiler to the rear deck lid of a vehicle. The spoiler utilizes rigid fasteners to connect the front portion of the spoiler to the rear deck lid and sliding fasteners to connect the rear portion of the spoiler to the rear deck lid. The rear deck lid also has a structurally weakened portion in the rear centermost portion of the spoiler so as to deform and absorb energy upon an initial impact of a rearward impact. The rear deck lid also has a structurally weakened portion between the rigid fasteners and the sliding fasteners so that the rear deck lid buckles upward from the rearward impact, thus absorbing energy and aiding in disconnecting the rigid fasteners from the rear deck lid.
