    Abstract: There is disclosed a head-up display system and method. In particular, there is disclosed a head-up display system and method for an aircraft including a display, a camera and a processor. The head-up display system is able to calculate a first flight path marker calculated from an inertial measurement unit and a second flight path marker from successive images captured by the camera, and provides a portable head up display with redundancy alarm.
