    Abstract: A microreactor for use in coal-liquifaction process monitoring and process development is disclosed. The microreactor is a batch-type reactor and is moved by means of a pneumatic lift into and out of a bath to control the temperature of the microreactor. A shaft having generally vertical vanes is provided for stirring reactants in the microreactor.
