The cargo platform is disposed substantially within the plan perimeter of the floor of the cargo module during raising and lowering. A modular system may be integrated into the cargo enclosure, or may be incorporated into a modular enclosure for appending to a cargo box of the prior art. An underside is disposed in vertically adjusting communication with the cargo platform.

    Abstract: Oppositely extending telescopic wheel support sleeves with wheel support cradles are attached to open top shoes provided at the outer ends of the sleeves. Each of the cradles has a connector arm for securing the cradles to the shoes so that the sleeves and the cradles cooperate to support the wheels of a towed vehicle. The open top shoes provided at the outer end of each of the sleeves allow the end of the connector arm nearest to the shoe to enter the shoe by swinging downwardly in an arc extending from a position above the shoe into the shoe. The connector arms are locked in the shoe.

The wheel receiving members are comprised of a fixed prong and a movable L-shaped prong which may be folded to a storage position when not in use. When the entire device is in a storage position, it is retracted substantially out of view within the understructure of the body of the towing vehicle.

    Abstract: A push bumper for tow trucks comprising a rigid frame defining a flat center portion and rearwardly canted end portions with a front plate secured over the face of the frame and a back plate secured to the rear of the frame. The back plate is provided with upper and lower flanges which are matingly received within the front plate and frame assembly and with end flanges which project forward into supporting engagement with the canted end portions of the front plate and frame assembly. Channel iron internal reinforcing members are disposed between the front and back plates and a headlamp and grill protector is provided at the top of the bumper. Back end plates are also provided to close off the space between the ends of the back plate and the extremities of the canted end portions to provide a sealed structure free of openings through which corrosive materials might enter the interior of the bumper.
