  • Patent number: 6024659
Abstract: A goalpost upright extension for extending the lengths of an upright of a football goalpost. The extension includes a tubular elongate member having an exterior, a lumen, opposite top and bottom ends, and a longitudinal axis extending between the top and bottom ends. The bottom end of elongate member is designed for receiving the upper end of an upright of a goalpost therein such that the upright extends into the lumen of the elongate member and the longitudinal axis of the elongate member extends in a generally vertical direction. The elongate member has a pair of generally coaxial stop holes therethrough between the lumen and the exterior of the elongate member. The stop holes are positioned towards the bottom end of the elongate member. The threaded portion of a stop screw is threadedly extended through the threaded inserts of the stop holes such that the threaded portion of the stop screw extends across the lumen of the elongate member.

  • Patent number: 5070568
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the subject electrical arc-welding gun cleaning tool for removing welding splatter from the welding tip and nozzle of a wire-feed arc-welding gun is described. The tool comprises a cleaning tool base 52 connected to a drive means 90 for rotating the base 52 in a desired direction about a drive axis. A conical spiral spring 64 is attached to the base 52 for insertion into the arc-welding gun nozzle 33. The rotating spring 64 surrounds the welding tip 40 and expands to also contact the inner surface of the inner surface 36 of the arc-welding gun nozzle 33. The spring 64 removes accumulated welding splatter as it rotates. A cylindrical tube 82, with serrations 86 at a receiving end 84, limits penetration of the spring 64 into the arc-welding gun nozzle 33 while also removing welding splatter from the outer end 43 of the welding tip 40.

  • Patent number: 4296662
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for scoring block size glass sheets into shapes for further fabricating into automotive windshields, side lights and the like. The apparatus includes a continuously operating conveyor for advancing the block size glass sheets to and from a scoring station, including a sheet capturing mechanism whereat a sheet is captured and held in a predetermined position on an operating roll conveyor beneath a positionable scoring unit which produces at least one score line on the glass sheet along a predetermined path. Thus the scored sheet, when released, is quickly conveyed away from the scoring station.
