  • Patent number: 9589246
Abstract: A marking system for a rolled metal coil to provide markings containing data about material properties within the metal proximate the markings. The material property data may be used for allocating blanks from the coil for different vehicle body stampings. A monitoring device may be configured to provide material property data of metal during formation of a coil. A marking device may be configured to provide a 2D-matrix as the marking on a surface of the coil. A controller may be programmed to, in response to receiving the data, utilize the marking device to provide the 2D-matrix containing the material property data on the coil proximate a location of the material property. The 2D-matrix may also allow for the traceability of a finished part back to the coil it was blanked and subsequently formed from.

  • Publication number: 20060118120
Abstract: A tube holder assembly is provided for securing a medical tube such as an endotracheal tube to a patient. In one illustrative embodiment, the holder assembly comprises a support strap for placement around the patient's head or neck region, a bracket for holding the endotracheal tube in position relative to the patient's mouth, and a face anchoring portion for securing the support strap to the patient's face region. The support strap includes a front surface and an opposed, back surface. The bracket may be attached to the front surface of the support strap. The bracket may include an upper bar and an arm extending from the upper bar. The face anchoring device may comprise a first surface configured to adhere to the patient's face region, and a second, opposed surface having a strap-engaging portion configured to mechanically engage the back surface of the support strap. The support strap may be configured to be repeatedly releasable and adjustable to the face anchoring device.

  • Publication number: 20060064065
Abstract: A closed system irrigation connector for use with both 3-way and 2-way urinary catheters is disclosed. The connector fits all urinary catheters and accepts continuous irrigation sets as well as all bulb, piston, and Toomey catheter tip irrigation syringes. The connector eliminates the use of catheter plugs and reduces the mess and leakage often associated with present urinary catheter irrigation procedures. The connector converts an open procedure to a closed system procedure protecting the patient from outside contamination to reduce urinary tract infections as well as the clinician from potentially infectious body fluids. It comprises an assembly of a plastic housing with an internal silicone diaphragm slit valve and a plastic entrance port that are unitized in assembly by sonic welding. The entrance port forms a tapered wedge lock engagement with irrigation sets as well as catheter tip irrigation syringes.
