    Abstract: Polyether-based polyurethane foams including as the flame-retardant, an antimony compound, chlorine derived from at least one chlorinated paraffin and alumina trihydrate, and the polyol used to prepare the foams being a diol- or triol-based polyol wherein at least 50% of the hydroxyl end groups are primary hydroxyl end groups, having good flame-retardancy and without any significant fall-off in physical properties as the foams are able to tolerate relatively high levels of the flame retardant.
