  • Publication number: 20010010657
Abstract: A barrel mixer assembly is disclosed. The barrel mixer assembly comprises a rotary mixer barrel and a support for a rotary mixer barrel. The support includes a tipping arrangement for the barrel, wherein the support limits tipping of the barrel between a mixing position in which the barrel is angled so as to retain its contents and a tipping position in which the barrel is angled so that its contents are poured out. The support further includes wheels disposed proximate a bottom portion of the support. The assembly has a motor having a motor output shaft aligned parallel to an axis of rotation of the barrel. The assembly also has a transmission mounted on the support for rotating the barrel. The transmission includes step-down gearing between the motor and the barrel. The motor and gearing tip with the barrel when the support is moved between the mixing position and the pouring position.

  • Patent number: 6099251
Abstract: A hollow airfoil is provided having a leading edge, a trailing edge, and a wall including a suction side portion and a pressure side portion. The wall, which includes an interior surface and an exterior surface, surrounds a first cavity and a second cavity, separated from one another by a rib extending between the suction side and pressure side wall portions. The first cavity is contiguous with the leading edge. The airfoil further includes a coolant flow splitter attached to the wall interior surface within the first cavity, and at least one metering orifice disposed in the rib. The metering orifice(s) are substantially aligned with the coolant flow splitter, such that cooling air passing through the metering orifice(s) encounters the flow splitter. The flow splitter splits the cooling air flow and directs it along the wall interior surface.

  • Patent number: 5189690
Abstract: A device for assisting a fluoroscope operator in orienting a fluoroscope on an object during a fluoroscope examination, and thereby reduce the time of use and exposure to radiation, which device consists of a sheet transparent to x-ray radiation, preferably disc shaped, possessing orientation indication means, such as radiopaque symbols, numbers and letters which may be combined in any combination. The orientation device is mounted on the fluoroscope's receiver, thereby positioning the sheet and orientation indicators between the receiver tube and the object being examined. The orientation indicators are visible on the fluoroscope's monitor, clearly indicating direction and providing guidance for the fluoroscope operator during the examination.
