  • Publication number: 20110089797
Abstract: A strength-enhanced lightweight cabinet system that employs a combination of lightweight composite materials is disclosed. The materials employ a combination of different processes to create a lightweight cabinet system that is structurally sound and functional. In aspects, the combination utilizes two reaction injection molding processes, and one conventional injection molding process. One of the reaction injection molding processes is IVCR (Improved Vinyl Clad Rigid) while the other is T-RIMâ„¢. The combination of these materials and processes results in a cabinet system that reduces the weight considerably over a conventional steel and/or combination of steel and other materials that is used in heavy truck sleeper cabs today.
