  • Patent number: 10330695
Abstract: A sensor unit for a vehicle includes a sensor circuit, a main part that supports the sensor circuit with at least one sensor contact, a connection cable, and a pot-shaped sleeve. The main part includes a sensor contact, a cable contact, and common contact support. The sensor contact is positioned on a first end of the contact support, and the cable contact is positioned on a second end of the contact support. The sensor contact is electrically connected to the at least one sensor contact via at least one sensor counter contact, and the cable contact is electrically connected to the connection cable via at least one cable contact. The sensor circuit is arranged on an end region of the contact support such that the sensor circuit is oriented in a predetermined detection direction. The detection direction is based on a bending angle of the end region relative to a longitudinal axis of the main part. The pot-shaped sleeve is fixed to the main part, and surrounds the sensor contact and the sensor circuit.

  • Patent number: 9029702
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a connection assembly for a sensor assembly having a connection element which is electrically and mechanically connected to one end of at least one wire of a connection cable in a first contacting region and can be electrically and mechanically connected to a sensor element in a second contacting region, wherein the connection element is at least partially enclosed by a plastic overmold which has a window-shaped recess in a transition region between the first contacting region and the second contacting region which is sealed in the injection molding die during the injection process of the plastic overmold and a corresponding sensor assembly. According to the disclosure, a positioning opening is arranged in the transition region such that the connection element can be positioned in the injection molding die and the transition region surrounding the positioning opening is sealed flat in the injection molding die to create the window-shaped recess.

  • Publication number: 20120210786
Abstract: A sensor arrangement for a vehicle includes a sensor element and a connection cable at least partially encased with plastic by means of injection moulding in order to form a sensor housing. The sensor housing is connected to a fastening tab which comprises a base body having fastening means. The fastening tab includes an insertion sleeve which is connected to the base body and into which a sensor housing body of the sensor housing is inserted. The sensor housing and the insertion sleeve each comprise fixing means which are designed in such a manner that there are different angular positions for fixing the sensor housing and the fastening tab. The sensor housing and the fastening tab are fixed in one of the different angular positions with respect to one another.

  • Publication number: 20070001664
Abstract: A motion sensor, in particular an rpm sensor for the wheel rotation of a motor vehicle, and a method for producing a motion sensor are proposed, the motion sensor having an integrated circuit (32), connectable via an electrical cable (24), with a measured value transducer and an electronic circuit arrangement for processing the measurement signals. The sensor has a basic component (10), produced by casting or injection molding of thermoplastic, preferably polyamide, by the MID technique, into which basic component a permanent magnet (16) is integrated. A housingless integrated circuit (32) is mounted on the MID component by the flip-chip technique. The arrangement comprising the basic component (10) and the integrated circuit (32) and the permanent magnet (16) as well as the connection end of the cable (24) is sheathed, in a further method step, with an external encapsulation (42) and joined together to form a strong component unit that is well protected against environmental factors.
