  • Publication number: 20110127269
Abstract: A moisture-tight, re-sealable container (10, 80, 120, 202, 214) is disclosed having a lid (18, 128) and body (12, 112). The lid and body have a non-round seal (50, 78) that is substantially moisture tight when the lid is seated on the body, admitting less than 1000 micrograms per day of water to a package. A reinforcement (22 or 162) stiffens or reinforces at least a portion of the seal against inward deflection along an axis (42) defined by the minor diameter when the lid is seated on the body. Optionally the reinforcement is at least one spline (162) subdividing the reservoir. A method of making dispensers (10, 80, 120, 202, 214) for objects (122, 124) of varying length to customize particular dispensers to dispense such objects of a particular length is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7413083
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a one-piece vial assembly having a container and cap that provides a substantially moisture-free environment for effervescent tablets, and other items that require packaging and retention in a substantially moisture-free environment. In one embodiment, the container and cap are joined together by a hinge; hence the vial assembly is a one-piece assembly in which the cap is opened and closed in a “flip-top” arrangement. The vial assembly of the present invention includes a desiccant entrained plastic. In one embodiment, the desiccant entrained plastic is located in a desiccant sleeve, which surrounds at least a portion of the product within the vial assembly sleeve. In yet another embodiment, the sleeve surrounds the vial assembly interior with a thin-walled plastic so that the product contained within the vial assembly is completely surrounded by the desiccant entrained plastic sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6705463
Abstract: A golf ball and package assembly, comprising: at least one golf ball; a package separable from said golf ball defining a cavity within which said golf ball is positioned, said package comprising: (a) a moisture proof, resealable container and an integrally attached cap, wherein the package has a base, an internal cavity, an outer surface, an upper portion and lower portion, a rim at the upper portion, the cap has a base and a skirt extending perpendicularly around the outer periphery of the base, the cap is provided with a thumb tab for facilitating the opening and closing of the container, and is attached to the package by a hinge; (b) the cap and container are non-circular in shape having curved sides and flat sides, joined by rounded corners; (c) an outer wall of the ridge and wall surfaces of the cap rim define a gap into which rim is fitted to form a moisture proof seal when the cap is in the closed position; and (d) a desiccant insert.

  • Publication number: 20020088814
Abstract: A tamper-proof container and cap assembly is provided, comprising a container having an upper portion and an outer surface. The container has a rim at the upper portion. The upper portion includes a flexible and detachable protrusion having a contact element and a break point. The container also has a cap having a base with an outer periphery and a skirt extending perpendicularly and outwardly around the outer periphery of the base. The cap has a hinge and a tap with a first and second slot wherein the first slot is capable of housing the protrusion, and the second slot has an interlocking device that mates with the protrusion. In an empty stage, the protrusion is positioned within the first slot. In a filled stage, the cap is placed upon the container and the protrusion is repositioned within the second slot and the contact element engages the interlocking device to form a tamper-proof seal.
