  • Patent number: 9512621
Abstract: A structure connection system is described that connects an exterior façade to an exterior framing. The structure connection system comprises a first section and a second section. The first section includes exterior sheathing, insulation sheathing and a plurality of batten plates. The exterior sheathing is adapted to connect to an exterior framing of an existing structure. The insulation sheathing is a thermal rigid insulation board sheathing. Each batten plate of the plurality of batten plates is a right angle elongate plate. Each batten plate has a first flat elongate leg and a second flat elongate leg. The second leg is inserted into the insulation sheathing and the first leg is positioned against the front planar surface of the insulation sheathing. Each batten plate of the plurality of batten plates is located in fixed spaced separation from the adjacent batten plate. A plurality of fasteners connect the first section into an integrated assembly.

  • Patent number: 8141310
Abstract: A sheet is provided for placing a brick or tile facing on a support structure that has an arrangement of apertures for the passage of fluids such as water. The sheet has an approximately rectangular conformation that includes a front and a back. The sheet defines channels between longitudinally aligned parallel partitions that are separated by a wall. Each channel receives the thin bricks or tiles. The structure of the partitions varies and can include an upward facing first portion that has an arrangement of apertures and a downward facing second portion. A liquid, such as water, that drains down the front of the sheet passes through the apertures in the first portion to the sloped second portion and is then redirected to the back of the sheet. The apertures also provide for the circulation of air.

  • Patent number: 4773201
Abstract: A structure is provided for placing a brick facing on a supporting structure. The arrangement comprises formed sheets which are each provided with parallel channels into which the facing bricks can be placed. The formed sheets are provided with interlocking edges and are moreover provided with linear arrays of holes covered by tape which has two adhesive faces. One of the faces is exposed in the associated channel. The other face is forced through the associated holes to engage with and adhere with the supporting structure. The bricks are placed into the channels and adhere to the tape. Each channel may be provided with a sub-channel which both strengthens the associated sheet and which morever provides a portion of the channel into which the aforesaid tape may be placed.
