Publication number: 20240318412Abstract: A rainwater harvesting prefilter having a filter drum. The filter drum includes a fluid inlet configured to be fluidly connected to a fluid entrance pipe of a rainwater collection system and a fluid outlet configured to be fluidly connected to a cistern tank. A filter assembly is disposed in the filter drum. The filter assembly includes a filter support plate (with supporting components as needed) suspended in the filter drum such that the filter support plate spans across and substantially covers a width of the filter drum to separate the filter drum into an upper chamber having the fluid inlet and a lower chamber having the fluid outlet. A plurality of spaced-apart apertures are disposed in the filter support plate. A plurality of filter socks are positionable in the plurality of spaced apart apertures such that filter socks extend downward from the filter support plate into the lower chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2023Publication date: September 26, 2024Applicant: Sycamore Technical Services LLCInventors: Joe W. Patent number: 5234222Abstract: A workpiece support tool is disclosed for use with in providing an infinite variety of positions to receive and engage workpieces of differing shapes and sizes. The workpiece support tool provides precise support and positioning of the workpiece with respect to an operational centerline. The support tool includes a plurality of radially moving jaw members having support surfaces for supporting the inner circumference of the workpiece. The jaw members are expanded and contracted in solely radial movement through driving forces imparted by a position encoded servo drive motor.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 1992Date of Patent: August 10, 1993Assignee: Hines Industries, Inc.Inventors: Gordon E. Hines, Vernon J. Burzan, Leonard J. Salenbien, Ronald W. Anderson

Patent number: 5048338Abstract: The present invention provides for a method of generating an electronic bobweight signal used to offset an unbalance signal before the unbalance signal is received at the input portion of the electronic circuitry of the unbalance detection system. The electronic bobweight signal and unbalance signal are matched in their phase angle and are each sampled a specified number of equally spaced times per revolution of the workpiece to provide accurate bobweighted unbalance data without the need for use of physical bobweights and their inherent disadvantages.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1990Date of Patent: September 17, 1991Assignee: Hines Industries, Inc.Inventors: Gordon E. Hines, Ronald W. Anderson, Leonard J. Salenbien

Patent number: 5033303Abstract: A tire balance audit apparatus with an improved tire support tool is disclosed. The tire support tool utilizes a plurality of jaw members, each driven radially by a ball screw, to engage, center and level an unbalanced tire about the centerline of an unbalance measuring device. The tire is supported solely through engagement of the bead of the tire with the individual jaw members.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1989Date of Patent: July 23, 1991Assignee: Hines Industries, Inc.Inventors: Gordon E. Hines, Vernon J. Burzan, Leonard J. Salenbien, Ronald W. Anderson

Patent number: 5019039Abstract: A method for draining fluid from between inner and outer body wall linings includes the initial step of providing a fluid drainage needle. The needle, with the cannula portion removably fit on the needle portion, is inserted into the body and through the outer body wall. The insertion is stopped when a flash of fluid from between the inner and outer body wall linings is viewed in the hub of the needle portion. The next step is to slide the cannula portion along the needle portion and into the space between the inner and outer wall linings until the sheath aperture is within the fluid. The needle portion is then removed from the cannula portion and the fluid may be drained through the cannula portion as desired.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1989Date of Patent: May 28, 1991Inventor: Ronald W. Anderson

Patent number: 4790697Abstract: A method and apparatus for the automatic balancing of workpiece having diverse surface geometry is disclosed. The balancing machine of the present invention provides for computer numerical controls in the balancing and material removal operations. The processes provide for alternative methods of material removal and further provides for the balancing operation to be self-calibrating and self-programming.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1987Date of Patent: December 13, 1988Assignee: Hines Industries, Inc.Inventors: Gordon E. Hines, Lee D. Case, Ronald W. Anderson

Patent number: 4467650Abstract: A vertical static balancer incorporating novel methods for workpiece support and pivoting, restoring force spring placement, and means for transmission of motion and force therebetween. A single-element flexure pivot provides workpiece support while permitting near frictionless tilting movement around a vertical axis. Restoring force springs, separate from the pivoting function, are interchangeable to readily alter machine capacity. A rigid tubular member transmits unbalance effects from the workpiece to springs and displacement transducers attached thereto. Simplified electrical circuitry enables data to be transmitted from panel controls to a digital computer by means of a single conductor.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1982Date of Patent: August 28, 1984Assignee: Hines Industries, Inc.Inventors: Gordon E. Hines, Ronald W. Anderson, Arthur W. Henke

Patent number: 4413015Abstract: A resin is provided which is the adduct of a monocarboxylic acid and a diglycidyl ether of a bisphenol, or of a monocarboxylic acid, a bisphenol, and a diglycidyl ether of a bisphenol, reacted with an anhydride to an Acid No. of 35 to 150. This resin is solubilized with a volatile amine, ammonia, or NH.sub.4 OH in a solvent mixture of water, alkoxyethanols, alcohols, and alkyl ethers of diethylene glycol and combined with an aminoplast to produce a coating composition utilizable to coat surfaces that will contact a food or beverage, such as in metal packaging containers.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1981Date of Patent: November 1, 1983Assignee: Mobil Oil CorporationInventors: Ronald W. Anderson, Richard A. Lamanna

Patent number: 4043963Abstract: A thermally curable aqueous emulsion coating composition is provided in which the discontinuous phase of the emulsion is constituted by liquid particles of a mixture of resinous polyepoxide and 2-hexoxy ethyl ether of an aminoplast resin, dissolved in an essentially water immiscible organic solvent. A surfactant, which is preferably nonionic, is used to stably suspend the liquid particles in the aqueous continuum. The etherification of the aminoplast resin with 2-hexoxy ethanol serves to provide improved retention of cure capacity on storage.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 1976Date of Patent: August 23, 1977Assignee: Mobil Oil CorporationInventor: Ronald W.
