  • Patent number: 10383336
Abstract: Solutions for killing weeds include a herbicide admixed with a buffered amine oxide. The synergism between the two components reduces the amount of herbicide which must be employed to achieve an effective weed kill. Related methods involve application of the solution to the weeds to be killed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 2015
Date of Patent: August 20, 2019
    Assignee: KOP-COAT, INC.

  • Patent number: 10278386
Abstract: The present invention relates to a solution for resisting destruction of living plants and a related method. A solution including a buffered amine oxide admixed with at least one material selected from the group consisting of insecticides and fungicides is applied to the living plant and provides a synergistically effective greater resistance to living plant deterioration than any of the individual buffered amine oxide, insecticides and fungicide achieve considered individually. A related method is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130288067
Abstract: A solution and method of treating wood to resist discoloration of the wood and the treated wood employ a polydentate monoamino carboxylic acid and/or a diakyl diphosphonic acid. The invention resists discoloration which is believed to be caused by the mobility of organic based chromophoric molecules within the wood which migrate toward the surface of the wood. Among uses of the invention, it is particularly helpful in effecting resistance to discoloration of wood being treated with wood preservatives, stains and coatings. In another embodiment, ammonium pentaborate may be employed to resist discoloration.
