  • Publication number: 20220166856
Abstract: In operation, packets traverse the packet processing data structure, and the network processing represented by each object in the data structure is applied to each packet. From time to time, the packet processing data structure may need to be updated. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for lock-free updating of a packet processing data structure by means of epoch-based garbage collection. In embodiments, a particular past packet processing epoch is considered to be no longer referenced by any cores when the sequence numbers recorded in each said memory location are different to the sequence number of that particular past packet processing epoch. The deletion thread checks both whether a past epoch is being referenced by any packets and whether it is being reference by any cores. Thus memory is safely freed without having any impact on any packet processing which may be occurring in parallel to the deletion thread.

  • Patent number: 11303659
Abstract: Unauthenticated client access to an application (e.g., a SaaS-based web application) that employs unauthenticated API endpoints is monitored and protected by an access control system and method that leverages a neural network. The neural network is trained to recognize user behaviors that should be deemed to be “inappropriate” according to a policy. Using the neural network, the system provides effective discrimination with respect to unauthenticated user behavior, and it enables access controls to be more effectively enforced with respect to users that are not using the application according to an enterprise security policy. By training the neural network to recognize pattern(s) behind regular user behavior, the approach enables robust access control with respect to users that are unauthenticated.

  • Publication number: 20220005051
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for alarm response automation in manufacturing, distribution, and general supply chain environments. Sensors categorized as part of an industrial IoT environment are used to detect asset health, including asset abnormalities and trends. Alarm exceptions generate actionable events, which are used to invoke a multi-tiered, hierarchical application of asset entitlements. This data guidance provides enhanced alarm response automation via intelligent filtration and consolidation by grouping recurrent or related alarms from assets, models, model types, components, customers, and sites into a single actionable event. This actionable event has its own unique categorizations that work in concert. At any point, additional, definable processes may be executed to further refine the data. The resulting layered, asset entitlement approach thereby creates a high level of filtration and intelligence from the IoT-generated data.

  • Publication number: 20210344606
Abstract: User traffic is processed in a virtualised network. First and second VNFs are initialised in the same network namespace as each other in user space in a host and have access to a shared memory region of the host. The first VNF processes user traffic and the second VNF provides a user plane service in relation to user traffic processed by the first VNF. The first VNF is used to establish a point-to-point, shared-memory interface between the first and second VNFs and is used to classify incoming user traffic. In response to the first VNF determining based on the classifying, that the incoming user traffic is to be subject to the user plane service, the first VNF is used to store the incoming user traffic in the shared memory region of the host to enable the second VNF to provide the user plane service in relation to the incoming trier traffic.

  • Patent number: 11160478
Abstract: Specially designed collection strips and their processing. By using specially designed collection strips, having a backer and one or more absorbent pads, in conjunction with a unique processing method, the processes of analyzing biological samples such as blood, or the like, may be done efficiency with the elimination of cross contamination risk. Identification of the sample stays with the sample throughout the process as it resides on the collection strip. The strip absorbs a known volume. The sample with identification is placed directly in an elution solution, without mechanically separating the sample from its identification information. Elimination of the need for mechanical separation tends to reduce cross contamination, as well as reducing sample processing time.

  • Patent number: 10938845
Abstract: A machine learning-based technique for user behavior analysis that detects when users deviate from expected behavior. In this approach, a set of user groups are provided, preferably based on information provided from a user registry. A set of training data for each of the set of user groups is then obtained, preferably by collecting security events generated for a collection of the users over a given time period (e.g., a last thirty (30) days). A machine learning system is then trained using the set of training data to produce a model that includes a set of clusters in user behavior model, wherein a cluster is a learned user group that corresponds to a defined user group. Once the model is built, it is used to identify users that deviate from their expected group behavior. In particular, the system compares a current behavior of a user against the model and flags anomalous behavior. The user behavior analysis may be implemented in a security platform, such as a SIEM.

  • Patent number: 10846203
Abstract: Tracking edits executed against a file to ensure that the edits are monitored consistently so that language service requests are properly handled. Initially, a collaboration session is established. This collaboration session includes an owner and a participant computer system. Then, the owner computing system receives messages that are directed toward a file stored by the owner computer system. These messages include edits that are to be performed against the file and language service request(s). A file version is then assigned to a subset of these edits. As the subset of edits are executed against the file, the file's state changes. The file versions are published to both the participant computer system and to a language service running on the owner computer system. The language service uses the published file versions to track the edits that are being executed against the file and to respond to the language service request(s).

  • Patent number: 10833723
Abstract: The representative embodiments discussed in the present disclosure relate to techniques in which isolation between transmission signals and received signals in a transceiver may be maintained during downlink carrier aggregation. More specifically, in some embodiments, the transceiver may be implemented to include an electrical balance duplexer that isolates a signal component of a signal transmitted via the transceiver from a receiver signal path of the transceiver. The transceiver may also include analog interference cancellation circuitry implemented to isolate a noise component of the signal transmitted via the transceiver from the receiver signal path (e.g., from one or more downlink receiver channels). As such, the transceiver may operate using inter-band, non-contiguous downlink carrier aggregation, intra-band, non-contiguous downlink carrier aggregation, intra-band, contiguous carrier aggregation, and/or the like.
