  • Patent number: 11828050
Abstract: A garbage disposal access assembly for retrieving an object from a garbage disposal includes an annular sleeve that is insertable into a throat of a garbage disposal to facilitate an unobstructed view into the garbage disposal. A conduit is attached to the annular sleeve and a light emitter is integrated into the conduit to illuminate an interior of the garbage disposal when the light emitter is turned on. A pair of tongs is insertable through the annular sleeve and into the garbage disposal when the annular sleeve is inserted into the throat of the garbage disposal. The tongs are sufficiently elongated to facilitate the user to retrieve a lost object from the garbage disposal.

  • Patent number: 7358428
Abstract: A stringed musical instrument has a body coupled to a single neck, multiple registers of strings, and a bridge that provides for at least one of acoustic and electronic separation of the multiple registers. The strings are preferrably arranged in paired courses, each of which has two members tuned to vibrate sympathetically with one another. In at least one of the members of each pair is a metallic string, and the other is a nylon or other non-metallic string. Preferred examples include a guitar, and more preferably an acoustic 12-string guitar. The bridge preferably has interleaved saddles for the various strings, each of which has its own associated pickup. The sounding board is reinforced with transverse brace struts. Optional equipment includes a balancing circuit that can be used to balance outputs of the vibration sensors.

  • Publication number: 20060188073
Abstract: A method for providing a E911 edge network. The method includes assigning public safety answering points (PSAPs) to ports located in a network, where each of the ports is associated with a calling party number (CPN) and a geographic location. The method also includes identifying an incoming emergency call from an IP device. The IP device corresponds to a unique code address and the incoming emergency call includes an incoming CPN. The entry port associated with the IP device is determined based on the unique code address and the incoming CPN. The incoming emergency call is connected to the PSAP corresponding to the entry port. The CPN and the geographic location data are transmitted to the PSAP corresponding to the entry port.

  • Patent number: 4869409
Abstract: A wheel and tire carrier for a vehicle such as a van includes a base assembly transversely affixed to a hinged door and which pivotally supports a swing arm to which a wheel is mounted. A latch mechanism normally secures the mounted wheel juxtaposed the door and when actuated, allows the arm and wheel to be arcuately displaced about a pivot point adjacent the free edge of the door thereby allowing the door to be opened about its hinges, no less than 90 degrees as the arm maintains the wheel free and clear of the body of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 3944349
Abstract: A shutter assembly is coupled to a rotor of a rolling loop mechanism for use in a cimematographic film projector. The shutter assembly includes a plurality of curved plates, each of which is positioned about a gap in the rotor such that the plate is connected by its ends to the sides of the gap and extends inwardly of the rotor to provide clearance for a rolling loop of film. A stator is provided to combine with the rotor for guiding the film past an aperture and as a shutter plate passes the aperture projection light is cut off from the aperture.
