  • Publication number: 20230103416
Abstract: A soft tissue and bone repair system and corresponding method are provided which are particularly useful for labral repairs in the human shoulder. The system comprises at least two guide cannulae capable of being introduced into an anatomical structure of a human body at different entry points for repair of a tear in soft tissue. A pulling line can be passed within the anatomical structure between the guide cannulae. A guide device may be attached to the pulling line and inserted into one of the guide cannula. The guide device is capable of delivering a drilling device into the anatomical structure. The pulling line is capable of being pulled to move an end of the guide device from a one location to another within the anatomical structure to position the drilling device on a desired drilling path to access the tear in soft tissue.

  • Patent number: 11350814
Abstract: A gripping device for an endoscope insertion tube utilizing first and second arms that are hingedly attached to one another. Each arm includes an opening to accommodate the insertion tube of an endoscope such that the endoscope insertion tube spans both arms. First and second jaws are associated with first and second arms and are positioned in opposition to one another. The movement of the arms toward one another causes the jaws to engage the insertion tube which is guided through the arms by the apertures found in the arms.

  • Publication number: 20190343555
Abstract: An apparatus for repairing an anatomical tear, such as a tear in the meniscus of a human knee. The apparatus includes a guide cannula directing a penetrating shaft through the meniscal tear and through the outer skin layer of the knee. The penetrating shaft pulls a line to the outside of the skin layer of the knee where it is used to pull or kedge a repair implant into position across the meniscal tear.
