    Abstract: A horseshoe (110) comprising a core (30) of rigid material sandwiched between two layers (40, 50) of shock absorbing elastomeric material. At least one of the elastomeric layers (40, 50) is bonded to the core (30) at a face (31, 33) where the core (30) has a plurality of indentations (32) or a plurality of raised humps (34). A preferred shoe (110) has raised lips (160, 164) and ridges (170) formed in its lower face (146).
