  • Patent number: 7476635
Abstract: Described is a process for the preparation of a supported zeolite membrane that consists of a zeolite/substrate composite layer, whose zeolite phase exhibits a crystallinity of at least 85%, comprising: a) the formation of a gel or a solution that comprises at least one source of silica and water, supplemented with at least one polar organic compound, b) bringing into contact said gel or said solution with a porous substrate, c) the crystallization of the zeolite starting from said gel or said solution; and d) the elimination of residual agents. The molar ratio of the water to the silica in the gel or the solution in stage a) is between 27:1 and 35:1. The crystallization time of stage c) is at least 25 hours. • Patent number: 6533923
Abstract: The present invention relates to stevensite or kerolite type trioctahedral phyllosilicates 2:1 containing fluorine, fluorinated in synthesis in an acid medium and modified post-synthesis to bring about Si/Al and/or Mg/Al substitutions which impart acid properties to the solid. These phyllosilicates may be incorporated in the composition of catalysts used to convert hydrocarbons, in particular for hydrocracking.

  • Publication number: 20010042704
Abstract: The present invention relates to trioctahedral phyllosilicates 2:1 of a stevensite or kerolite type containing fluorine, fluorinated in synthesis in an acid medium in the presence of hydrofluoric acid and/or another source of fluoride anions. The invention also relates to a method of preparation to obtain said phyllosilicate. The existence of gaps enables adjustable quantities of cations to be incorporated in the gaps and hence the exchange capacity of said solids to be modulated. These phyllosilicates, raw from synthesis or after post-synthesis modification, may be incorporated in the composition of catalysts used to convert hydrocarbons, in particular for hydrocracking.

  • Patent number: 6197427
Abstract: A process for the production of a composite membrane constituted by a continuous zeolite layer which is principally located on the surface of a glass support is described. The process comprises, in succession, at least one step in which partial hydrolysis of the silica of the internal and external surfaces of the porous support is carried out, and a zeolite crystallization step. The supported zeolite membranes obtained are advantageously used in continuous separation processes.

  • Patent number: 6140263
Abstract: A process for the production of a controlled supported zeolite membrane comprises: (a) forming a gel which is principally localised at the surface of a porous support by bringing it into contact, in succession, with two immiscible liquids which contain the agents necessary for formation of said gel, then (b) crystallising the zeolite from said gel and finally (c) eliminating the residual agents. The supported zeolite membranes obtained are advantageously used in continuous gas separation processes.
