  • Patent number: 11567467
Abstract: Methods and systems for configuring a modular building control system. An illustrative method may include entering a configuration mode in a base module and in each of the expansion modules. While in the configuration mode, the base module may collect information from each of the expansion modules. A system configuration may be created for the modular building control system based at least in part on the collected information and includes configuration parameters for the base module and each of the expansion modules. The base module may transmit to each of the expansion modules their respective configuration parameters. The base module and each of the expansion modules may install their respective configuration parameters, exit the configuration mode, and enter an operation mode. While in the operation mode, the base module and each of the expansion modules may control the modular building control system.

  • Patent number: 10355558
Abstract: Computer-processor controlled energy harvester system. The system uses a plurality of oscillating weight type energy collectors, each configured to store the energy from changes in the system's ambient motion as stored mechanical energy, often in a compressed spring. The energy collectors are configured to move between a first position where the energy collector stores energy, to a second position where the energy collectors release stored energy to a geared electrical generator shaft, thus producing electrical energy, often stored in a battery. A plurality of processor controlled electronic actuators, usually one per energy collector, control when each energy collector stores and releases energy. The processor can use accelerometer sensors, battery charge sensors, and suitable software and firmware to optimize system function.

  • Patent number: 8181055
Abstract: A host device capable of communicating with an external network. The host device may comprise a power-application unit and a network interface. The power-application unit may receive from a power-supply unit a first power-supply output having a first voltage level and a second power-supply output having a second voltage level. The power-application unit may be controllable for producing selectively a first power-application output having a third voltage level from the first power-supply output and a second power-application output having a fourth voltage level from the second power-supply output. The network interface may transmit data to and receive data from an external network, and may be powered at least in part by the first and second power-application outputs.

  • Patent number: 7407617
Abstract: A method of polymerizing by a free radical polymerization mechanism, product formed thereby, and apparatus for performing this method, are disclosed. The composition to be polymerized by the free radical polymerization mechanism is irradiated by a substantially constant radiation, the radiation being substantially without pulsation. The use of the substantially constant radiation without pulsation reduces premature termination of the polymerization. The substantially constant radiation can be the output of a lamp powered by a constant current, direct current power supply.

  • Publication number: 20070059497
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for imprinting a micro-/nano-structure on a substrate, the method comprising (a) providing a mold containing a desired pattern or relief for a microstructure; (b) applying a polymer coating to the mold; and (c) transferring the polymer coating from the mold to a substrate under suitable temperature and pressure conditions to form an imprinted substrate having a desired micro-/nano-structure thereon.
