  • Patent number: 8237855
Abstract: A camera device includes a case having a first camera and a second camera arranged therein. The case is assembled from a first and a second half-case. The first camera is used to shoot images of the driver inside a car and the second camera is used to shoot images of the road in front of the car. The camera device also includes a mounting mechanism that allows adjustment of the case of the camera device to different orientations. Therefore, when the camera device is installed in a car, the first and second cameras can be adjusted to a desired shooting angle and images inside and outside the car can be synchronously shot and be used in an accident to determine which party should be responsible for the accident.

  • Patent number: 8174577
Abstract: An automatic in-car video recording apparatus includes a first and a second image acquiring units, an image processing unit, a control unit, an image access unit, a detecting unit, and a power supply unit. The first and second image acquiring units are synchronized to acquire images of road conditions in front of the car and images of driving conditions inside the car, respectively. The image processing unit integrates the two images on a split screen, and saves the images in the image access unit. The image access unit includes an externally connected memory unit. The control unit periodically stores part of the image data saved in the image access unit on the memory unit. When the detecting unit detects any abnormal condition, the control unit will also copy the image data saved in the image access unit to the memory unit. Therefore, driving conditions of the car are automatically recorded.

  • Publication number: 20100328464
Abstract: A car-mount traffic condition surveillance device includes an image acquisition unit, a control unit, an input unit, an image display unit, and a power supply unit. The image acquisition unit includes first and second image acquisition units for respectively acquiring images of street corners or lane entrances closely located in front of the left and the right side of the car. The input unit can send an actuating signal for the control unit to transmit the images acquired by the first and second image acquisition units to the image display unit for displaying on a split screen, allowing the drive to view the images at the same time so as to avoid collision of the car with another car unexpectedly coming out from any of the street corners or lane entrances.

  • Publication number: 20100076683
Abstract: A car and ship blind spot-free collision avoidance system includes a plurality of image acquiring units and detecting units externally spaced along the car or the ship, an image processing unit, at least one image display unit, and a power supply unit, all being electrically connected to a control unit. The power supply unit supplies power needed by the system to operate normally. The control unit can determine the car or the ship position and moving direction via gear position of a shift lever and turning direction of a steering wheel, and enable real-time images shot by the image acquiring units corresponding to that position or direction to be processed by the image processing unit and then synchronously displayed on a split screen of the image display unit, so as to eliminate blind spots in driving the car or steering the ship and minimize collision and other accidents.
