  • Patent number: 9561030
Abstract: The present invention disclosed a surgical staple (50) and staple pocket (57) for forming kidney-shaped staple therefor, with the staple pocket (57) being recessed inward on the tissue contacting surface of the staple anvil (58), and with M-shaped staple (50) being used, wherein the degree of projection of the middle portion of the back span (51) of the M-shaped staple (50) arranged at the inner circle or arranged at a proximal side of a cutter slot (121) is larger than that of the back span (51) of the M-shaped staple (50) arranged at the outer circle or arranged at a distal side of the cutter slot (121), so that when the staple (50) of the same height are adapted to staple tissues to be stapled of different thickness, staple driver (68) bends the M-shaped staple (50) on the staple pocket (57) to form kidney-shaped staple (50) so as to achieve the operational effect of being able to seal the stapled tissue, to stop bleeding and to heal the tissue therearound.

  • Patent number: 9216020
Abstract: An endoscopic surgical cutting stapler with a chain articulation is provided, in which a joint is implemented by a chain articulation, teeth are provided at two ends of a chain plate of the chain articulation, and teeth of adjacent chain plates in the same row are engaged. Through mesh transmission of engaged teeth of the adjacent chain plates in the same row, an angle of a most proximal chain plate of the chain articulation is gradually multiplied at several stages and transmitted to an end effector. The end effector can rotate for 90° with small drive motion of the operating mechanism, thereby achieving precise placement of the chain articulation after rotation. The end effector can be precisely aligned with a part to be cut and stapled, and a radius of curvature of the chain articulation can be significantly increased.

  • Patent number: 8279496
Abstract: A method of optimal focusing for a document scanner is disclosed. The scanner includes an optic module movable in a given scanning direction to perform scanning operation over an area of a document in a scan line by scan line manner by being driven by an optic module moving mechanism under control of a control unit. The control unit includes a best focus value memory for storage of the best focus value for each scan line. The method includes the steps of moving the optic module to one of scan lines of the document and retrieving the best focus value corresponding to the selected scan line. A focus adjusting mechanism is controlled by the control unit to move the optic module in a second direction to adjust the focus position of the optic module in accordance with the best focus value of the scan line. Once the optic module reaches the scan line, the operation of the optic module is temporarily suspended in order to have the vibration of the optic module damped out.

  • Patent number: RE42033
Abstract: A single step multi-section exposure scanning method for a scanner. The scanner includes a photo-sensor and a stepper motor. The photo-sensor has N rows of sensor cells that correspond to each primary color. The scanning device is driven forward an exposure distance for each revolution of the stepper motor. The single step multi-section exposure scanning method includes the following steps. First, the photo-sensor moves forward one exposure distance. One row of sensor cells is exposed after moving every 1/Nth of the exposure distance. Thereafter, analogue voltages obtained through the exposed row of sensor cells are transmitted to an analogue/digital converter. The above process is repeated until the entire document is scanned.
