The immediate-release drug in the oral dosage formulation is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor (AChEI) with a dissolution rate of releasing more than 80% of the AChEI within 60 min; and the sustained-release drug is memantine with a dissolution rate of releasing more than 80% of memantine within 12 hours.
