  • Publication number: 20250077023
Abstract: An electronic device for determining a status of a touch sensor includes a capacitance measurement circuit to be coupled to a touch sensor including first and second electrodes, the capacitance measurement circuit being configured to obtain a first measurement result based on a self-capacitance of the first electrode and a second measurement result based on a mutual capacitance between the first and the second electrodes. An algorithm may be applied to the first and second measurement results, thereby generating a signal. A threshold comparator is configured to compare the signal to a threshold, and to generate a comparison signal having a first value if the signal is greater than the threshold and a second value if the signal is less than the threshold. An output module is configured to provide an output signal indicative of the status of the touch sensor based on the comparison signal.

  • Patent number: 8467891
Abstract: A controller for outputting audio having a predetermined output sample rate. The controller is programmed to receive an audio signal having a first sample rate, identify the first sample rate of the audio signal, select a converter based on the identification of the first sample rate, and convert the sample rate of the received audio signal to the predetermined output sample rate.

  • Patent number: 8416096
Abstract: Property monitoring system and method of operating. Two signal lines are used to couple a master controller in series with a plurality of indicators. Each indicator has a visual display. Each visual display has a plurality of LEDs, or other type of lighting device. The master controller is configured to generate a multi-bit digital command message to be transmitted serially to the plurality of indicators over the second signal line upon receipt of an alarm condition message. Each command message has a predetermined time delay for activating each of the indicators, or a component thereof, so that all indicators activate in unison.
