  • Patent number: 5205172
Abstract: The interface gauge includes at least one transducer for sensing the interface between two media within a reservoir. An elongated flat member has at least one transverse bore. A transducer is loosely contained within the bore. Conductors connect the transducer to a signal comparator and logic network for monitoring an impedance change in the transducer in response to a change in the interface within the reservoir. The gauge can replace conventional mechanical dipsticks in factory made dipstick tubes for crankcases and automatic transmissions in order to monitor oil and transmission fluid levels.

  • Patent number: 4720997
Abstract: The electronic monitor includes a level-sensing circuit, a reference circuit, a comparator circuit, and a logic circuit. The level sensing-circuit includes at least one level sensor positioned within the reservoir adjacent to and below a predetermined level. The reference circuit includes a reference sensor positioned in the air adjacent to the maximum allowed level for the material. A current source applies current to all the sensors. The comparator circuit compares the voltage across the reference sensor and the voltage across the level sensor and provides a difference voltage to a logic circuit that activates selective signaling devices depended upon the level of the monitored material. The sensors are preferably negative-coefficient thermistors.

  • Patent number: 4288012
Abstract: This invention relates to a coathanger suspender for suspending one or more conventional, wire-type coathangers and for providing a handle for carrying the suspended coathangers. The suspender comprises a housing having a handle portion and a magazine portion. The magazine portion is adapted to receive and then lock the hooks of the coathangers. The handle portion allows the hand to comfortably carry the magazine portion, the coathangers, and the garments suspended therefrom in a vertical direction.
