    Abstract: Depth sensors comprising a focal plane array with photosites (PSs) directed in different directions, each PS operable to detect light arriving from an instantaneous field of view (IFOV) of the PS, a readout-set of readout circuitries (ROCs), each ROC coupled to readout-group PSs by multiple switches and operable to output an electric signal indicative of an amount of light impinging on the readout-group PSs when the read-out group is connected to the respective ROC via at least one of the switches, a controller operable to change switching states of the switches, such that at different times different ROCs of the readout-set are coupled to the readout-group and are exposed to reflections from different distances, and a processor operable to obtain the electric signals from the readout-set indicative of detected levels of reflected light collected from the IFOVs of the readout-group and to determine depth information for an object.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for optimally retraining a supervised machine learning model based on newly received data. The method comprises receiving, from a requestor device, a new data set for updating a previously-trained model generated using a first training data set and tested using a first testing data set. Then, the new data set is checked for components having an association to both the first training data set and the first testing data set; and where such components are found, they are deleted. Once all of the components of the new data have been examined, remaining components of the new data set are assigned to one of the first training or testing data set in dependence upon a relationship connectivity therewith to form at least one of an updated testing and training data set for building the updated model.

    Abstract: When a power outage occurs, an uninterruptable power supplies may lose all grid connections including a neutral connection which may be connected to ground. To avoid the loss of a ground connection to the power circuits of the UPS, a switch unit may be used to selectively connect a neutral conductor of the circuit to a ground terminal. The switch unit may comprise a power relay, a fast switch device (FSD), and a controller. The power relay and FSD may be connected in series between the neutral conductor of the circuit and a ground terminal. The controller may be configured to: close the FSD when the voltage between ground and neutral (Vng) goes above a first threshold, open the FSD when the voltage between any grid connection and neutral (Vg) goes above a second threshold, and close the FSD when Vg is below the second threshold.
