  • Publication number: 20140298944
Abstract: An all terrain vehicle parking brake for after market installation on an ATV, UTV, RUV or MUV that relies on placing the vehicle shift lever in a park position to hold the vehicle on a hill. The parking brake includes a brake handle that is mounted to the vehicle dash board to pivot between brake engaged and disengaged positions, extending and retracting a linkage that connects and disconnects through a straight sleeve, with the linkage connecting to a rod end bearing that connects to a brake pedal arm, depressing the brake pedal when an operator activates the parking brake.

  • Patent number: 6735840
Abstract: A burnishing tool is disclosed in one presently preferred embodiment of the present invention as including a first end, a second opposing end, and an elongated intermediate portion disposed between the first and second ends. The intermediate portion of the burnishing tool is formed having a general arcuate configuration and includes a main body and a handle. The main body of the intermediate portion comprises a dimensional width greater than the dimensional width of the handle such that the burnishing tool fits comfortably and conveniently within the contour of a hand of a user.

  • Patent number: 6273016
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a watercraft in relation to a surface flooring of a body of water includes a support member for supporting the watercraft and an engaging member adapted to be connected to the support member to selectively retain the watercraft in relation to the support member. A securing assembly is operably connected between the support member and the watercraft to provide a compressive loading force therebetween. Preferably, the support member is formed of a substantially rigid construction. The engaging member is adapted to receive the support member in engagement therewith and may be configured to pivotally engage the watercraft. The securing assembly is moveable between a first position and a second position, thus converting a portion of the weight of the watercraft into a compressive load on the support member. The apparatus for supporting a watercraft may also include a retaining member disposed in relation to the support member.

  • Patent number: 5891551
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing drag over a flow surface and methods for using same is disclosed in one presently preferred embodiment as including a drag reduction member comprising a means for reducing drag over a surface facing of a substrate (e.g., watercraft, airplane, automobile, airfoil, rudder, or the like) moving through a fluid (e.g., liquid or gas) parallel and opposite to the direction of motion. The drag reduction member includes an exterior surface, an opposing contacting surface adapted to selectively cover at least a portion of the surface facing of the substrate, and an opening integrally formed in the body of the drag reduction member to enhance flexibility upon installation and provide greater resistance to impact forces. The opening may be sealable by means of at least two extension wings engageably disposed in relation thereto.

  • Patent number: 5485801
Abstract: An apparatus for shielding the keel and/or bow of a watercraft is disclosed in one presently preferred embodiment comprising a protective cover member having an elongated body substantially tapered in cross-sectional thickness from a midsection to at least two opposing sides. Protective cover member is preferably configured having one or more elongated channels formed therein. Preferably, the elongated channels are integrally formed in an exterior surface of the protective cover member and longitudinally disposed substantially parallel to the linear length of the protective cover member from a first end to a second end thereof. The protective cover member is preferably formed having an opposing contacting surface comprising a fastening means preferably disposed thereover for securing the protective cover member over the keel and/or bow of the watercraft.
