    Abstract: A pressure supply unit for providing a first target pressure level and a second target pressure level, includes a pump for drawing in a fluid, a first fluid flow control component, and a second fluid flow control component. The first fluid flow control component is arranged on a first side of the pump that controls the fluid flow according to a first current pressure level and is thus configured to provide the first target pressure level on the first side of the pressure supply unit. The second fluid flow control component is arranged on a second side of the pump that controls the fluid flow according to a second current pressure level and is this configured to provide the second target pressure level on the second side of the pressure supply unit.

The side has, in adjacent rows, in each case at least one different surface property. The microfluidic device has at least one array chamber in which the array is arranged such that the rows extend parallel to a flow direction of a fluid. To operate the microfluidic device, a fluid is guided through the array chamber such that it flows along the rows over the side of the array.
