Abstract: A system and method for asset management and, in particular, cataloguing, organizing, analyzing, utilizing and managing the contents of a building is disclosed. The system involves a process for using various means to capture the assets/contents of an organization/building. One key goal of the cataloging of a building's contents is to establish an insurable amount of assets within the building. Additionally by organizing the task it can be made easier and more foolproof. Once assets have been added to the system, methods are provided to better utilize the information and add value by using the system.
