The approach further involves causing, at least in part, a registration of one or more actual communication identifiers associated with the one or more devices to the at least one anonymous communication session based, at least in part, on receiving the at least one key from the one or more devices, wherein the registration does not expose the one or more actual communication identifiers to the one or more devices of the at least one anonymous communication session.
