  • Patent number: 9319821
Abstract: The present invention provides an arrangement, e.g. a method, an apparatus and a computer program. The arrangement comprises obtaining information indicative of spatial positions of one or more sound sources within an audio image of a composite audio signal, obtaining information indicative of the types of the one or more sound sources, determining, for each of the one or more sound sources, a position in a display of the apparatus indicative of the spatial position of the sound source and causing an apparatus to display an item representing the sound source in the determined position in the display, wherein the item representing the sound source is determined on basis of the type of the sound source.

  • Publication number: 20160088439
Abstract: The invention relates to controlling the operation of a communication system. The method according to the invention comprises measuring (910) positions of devices of a group; determining (930) a sequence based on the measured positions; and controlling (940) operation of one or more devices of a group based on said sequence. The communication system may be used e.g. for playing games.

  • Publication number: 20160071524
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a display module; an audio transducer; and electronic circuitry comprising a controller having a processor and at least one memory. The electronic circuitry is configured to reverse a video signal, separate an audio signal associated with the video signal into a first audio object and a second audio object, separate the first audio object into first audio blocks, separate the second audio object into second audio blocks, reverse the first audio object in a first reverse order, reverse the second audio object in a second reverse order, and sum the reversed first audio object in the first reverse order and the reversed second audio object in the second reverse order, the reversed video signal being played on the display module and the first and second audio blocks being played through the audio transducer.

  • Publication number: 20140270182
Abstract: A method including associating a sound with a first location in a virtual three dimensional (3D) map; and during navigation of a user from a second location to the first location with use of the virtual 3D map, playing the sound by an apparatus based, at least partially, upon information from the virtual 3D map.

  • Patent number: 7584495
Abstract: A real-time program transmission system and method may receive a signal from a content source, and generate two different data streams. One stream may be of a higher quality than the other. The two streams may then be inserted into time slice frames, such that a single frame carries two portions of data: one corresponding to a first time segment in the program, and a second corresponding to a different time segment in the program. A receiving mobile terminal may buffer the received data, and may use the lower quality data as a backup in the event of a transmission error in the higher quality data.
