Publication number: 20210019648Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system collects information associated with trouble tickets each including a problem abstract and a log text. The method includes analyzing the log text to obtain a problem resolution for that ticket; defining ticket clusters according to the problem abstracts, and labeling the clusters. The processing system creates a library of the labeled clusters, each entry including a cluster label, a problem abstract for that cluster, and a resolution summary for that problem abstract, indicating a mapping of the problem abstract to the resolution summary for that cluster. The method includes training, based on the mapping, machine-learning applications for a predicted resolution summary for each cluster and for classifying a new ticket. The method includes assigning the new ticket to a cluster according to the classifying. Other embodiments are disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2019Publication date: January 21, 2021Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Elissa Backas, Yang Qu, Hassan Chughtai, Maryam Samim, Nelson Cuebas, Roque Rios, III, Craig Scantlin, Donghoon Shin, Heesook Choi

Publication number: 20190297500Abstract: According to one aspect disclosed herein, a provider device can receive, from a requester device, a network access request requesting, on behalf of the requester device, access to a Wi-Fi network associated with a network provider and provided, at least in part, by a network device. In response, the provider device can prompt the network provider to accept or deny the requester device access to the Wi-Fi network. The provider device can receive input indicating that the network provider accepts the network access request, and in response to the input, can create a network access package that includes a secure network access configuration to be utilized by the network device to establish, at least in part, a secure connection with the requester device to provide the requester device access to the Wi-Fi. The provider device can encrypt the network access package to create an encrypted network access package.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2018Publication date: September 26, 2019Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Roque Rios, III, Luis Ramos, James Gordon Beattie, JR.

Patent number: 10367706Abstract: A processor may detect an occurrence of a network anomaly from a set of network operational data collected for a portion of a communication network within a geographic area, detect an occurrence of a weather event from a set of weather data for the geographic area, and determine an occurrence of a weather-related network impairment when the occurrence of the network anomaly and the occurrence of the weather event are detected within a time period, and when the network anomaly and the weather event match a signature for the weather-related network impairment. The processor may further receive, within a time window associated with the time period, a fault report associated with a customer premises within the geographic area and provide a notification and an instruction set to resolve the weather-related network impairment, where the instruction set is stored in a solution record associated with the signature.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2016Date of Patent: July 30, 2019Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: James Gordon Beattie, Jr., Henry Randolph, Roque Rios, III, Charles M.
