    Abstract: A photoconductive polymer comprising hetrocyclic residues comprised of thiophene units fused to substituted or unsubstituted tetrathiafulvalene units, said thiophene units being conjugated to, and linked by, olefinic double bonds. Particularly preferred polymers are of the formula (I) as defined in the specification. The polymers of the invention may be used in photovoltaic devices, e.g. in the form of solar cells, batteries or transistors.
