Abstract: A combination sling and locking component for employment in combination with a skateboard is provided. A housing having an internal cavity for a reeled cable is configured for operative sandwiched engagement between a skateboard deck and truck using fasteners through apertures in the housing aligned with existing passages in both the truck and deck which align. The cable is extendable to encircle an object and lock to the housing or to form a sling when just locked to the housing. A second mode of the device employs a second housing to provide the receiver for locking the end of the cable to a housing which provides a more elongated sling.
