    Abstract: A recreational floatation device rising to about the wearer's diaphragm fits over the wearer's stomach, buttocks and hips and about his or her waist and the tops of his or her legs. The device has front and rear sections carrying a substantially uniform layer of floatation material in an amount sufficient to float the wearer at about mid-chest height, a pad of floatation material extending from the wearer's waist through the crotch in both the front and rear sections.
