  • Patent number: 9896683
Abstract: Methods for isolating circulating small RNAs, e.g., microRNA (miRNA), from plasma samples, e.g., that comprise using an alkaline phenol:chloroform extraction, and methods of use thereof, including for the detection, prognosis, and/or monitoring of disease in a subject.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 29, 2015
Date of Patent: February 20, 2018
Assignees: University of Massachusetts, Firefly BioWorks

  • Patent number: 8913911
Abstract: A method of providing instructions to a user of an imaging device includes generating a three-dimensional (3D) model of the imaging device in a 3D computer generated environment. At least one computer generated imagery (CGI) instruction sequence is then rendered from the 3D model. The CGI instruction sequence depicts at least one action being performed on the imaging device and is rendered from a virtual viewpoint corresponding to a viewpoint of a user physically performing the at least one action. The rendered CGI instructions are stored in memory of the imaging device and selectively displayed on a user interface display screen of the imaging device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 13, 2012
Date of Patent: December 16, 2014
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Anthony John Peters, David Michael Phasey, Michael Peter Golding, Gemma Rosalind Lee, Leslie Wynn
  • Patent number: 8339618
Abstract: A method and apparatus for confirming attributes of media loaded in a media tray in an image production device is disclosed. The method may include determining which media tray of one or more media trays is being loaded with media using one or more media tray sensors, displaying a graphical representation of the media tray being loaded to a user on a user interface, prompting the user to enter and confirm attributes of the media being loaded into the media tray through the user interface, determining if confirmation has been received from the user interface, wherein if it is determined that the confirmation has been received from the user interface, storing the confirmed attributes for the determined media tray in a memory, and processing print jobs using the stored media tray attributes.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: December 25, 2012
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
