The gas inlet as seen from the top includes a blocking wall on the side thereof facing the first gas outlet and the second gas outlet, the blocking wall being located inside the valve housing perpendicular thereto and having a height equal to at least the length of the valve body and sitting flush against the gas passage in the closed position of the exhaust gas recirculation valve.
