    Abstract: The new plant is a hybrid evergreen azalea having a compact, vigorous horizontally spreading form. The azalea has a prolific blooming habit with florist quality blossoms that appear in clusters of two to four. The blooms are very large and semidouble with a diameter of about 10 to 11.4 cm. They have a magenta-rose color with the two upper wing petals dotted and a mildly sweet fragrance.

    Abstract: The new plant is a hybrid evergreen azalea characterized by a compact horizontally spreading form with ascending branches, a uniform, strong and vigorous rooting habit, and blooms which appear in clusters of two to four. The azalea blooms mid-season (early March-April) in Irvine, Calif. Blooms have a diameter of about 7.6 to 8.9 cm, a double hose-in-hose open funnel shaped form with petaloid stamens, and petals with an upper surface marbled in four shades of pink.

The blossoms are of single form with a diameter of about 6.4 to 7.6 cm and have pale lilac centers bordered with rose-purple lobes. The plant blooms mid-February through mid-April in southern California.
