  • Publication number: 20210231415
Abstract: It is impossible to score the shots without target markings on metal targets. If target markings were on metal targets the markings would get destroyed with bullet strikes. Stickers with markings are used to see the score on metal targets. Placing stickers on metal targets are difficult to align. Stickers are expensive and get destroyed with bullets. The reusable Bullet Impact Locator is a tool used by marksmen. The Locator is a transparent plate with target markings. Aligning means on the Locator aligns the markings to the target. With bullet imprints on the target, place Locator in front contacting the target. The Locator positions the markings where metal targets should have markings. View through Locator to score the shots. After the score is determined, spray paint the target. Paint remains wet between each string of shots. A plurality of spacers prevents markings on Locator from getting stained with wet paint.

  • Publication number: 20060217589
Abstract: A surgical instrument used for the implantation of a Pubovaginal Sling for treating female stress urinary incontinence comprising of a guide tube, a detachable tapered tube and a flexible shaft. These elements penetrates the body cavity, place the standard Pubovaginal Sling in the proper place and helps obtaining the proper tension of the Sling.

  • Patent number: 5830220
Abstract: An instrument comprising a substantially rigid guide tube having opposite open ends which are distal and proximal relative to a person using the instrument. The guide tube has a shank portion and a distal end portion extending generally laterally with respect to the shank portion. A handle is provided on the shank portion of the guide tube generally adjacent the proximal end of the guide tube. A stiff but flexible shaft inside the guide tube has a distal end part movable distally relative to the guide tube to extend through and beyond the open distal end of the guide tube. A suture thread holder is provided on the distal end part of the shaft. The shaft is manually movable relative to the guide tube to move the distal end part of the shaft and the suture thread holder from a retracted position to an extended position along a substantially straight path extending generally laterally at an angle of not substantially less than ninety degrees with respect to the shank portion of the guide tube.

  • Patent number: 5480407
Abstract: A suturing instrument for impeding the flow of blood around a suturing site comprises a substantially rigid shaft having opposite ends which are distal and proximal relative to a person holding the instrument, an expansible annular member of flexible, resilient material encircling the shaft adjacent its distal end, and an expansion mechanism for expanding the annular member radially outwardly relative to the shaft to impede the flow of blood around a suturing site. The distal end of the shaft is adapted to be inserted into a patient during the suturing procedure.

  • Patent number: 5342374
Abstract: A suture guiding device comprising a tubular shaft having opposite ends which are distal and proximal relative to a person holding the device for use in a suturing procedure, the distal end of the shaft being adapted to be inserted into a patient during the procedure. A suture guide is mounted at the distal end of the shaft for rotation relative to the shaft about an axis extending endwise with respect to the shaft. The guide has a guide surface for guiding a suture needle. A hand-operable control device is mounted on the shaft generally adjacent its proximal end. The guide and the control device are connected whereby hand-operation of the control device effects rotation of the guide to selectively adjust the suture-guiding position of the guide surface.

  • Patent number: 5323673
Abstract: Nut and bolt holder sockets for standard socket wrenches wherein legs, beams, cams and resilient means are used on different embodiments for accepting, retaining and releasing a nut inside a standard socket wrench to aid the user in the installation and removal of nuts and bolts in hard to reach places, specifically inside cavities where only a standard socket wrench extension can reach.

  • Patent number: 5189920
Abstract: Apparatus (10) for testing the cornering stability of a vehicle (12) to determine when the vehicle begins to slide or tip over when rounding a corner. A movable platform (32) is capable of supporting the weight of a vehicle, and the vehicle is positioned on one end of the platform. A counterweight (42) is positioned at the opposite end of the platform. The platform is rotatable through a range of speeds to simulate vehicle movement in a circular path such as when the vehicle is rounding a corner. Sensors are attached to wheels (T3, T4) of the vehicle to detect a sliding movement of the vehicle relative to the platform. A lifting movement which occurs when the vehicle begins to tip over, is also detectable. A method of determining a vehicle's center of gravity which will provide stability is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5127529
Abstract: A compact shoe drying rack made of three simple parts and which is capable of being easily installed firmly between an ordinary house floor register and the floor. Simple installation requires slightly raising the register and inserting the lower legs of the rack between the floor and the register, letting the register rest upon the legs, thereby holding the rack in place during the time shoes are to be dried. It also has the capability of being easily removed from the installation without the use of tools. For easy storage and shipping it can be folded flat and slipped into an ordinary large, flat mailing envelope without the need to disassemble.
