Abstract: The present invention relates to an anhydrous solid cosmetic composition comprising: •a) at least one vinyl polymer comprising at least one carbosiloxane dendrimer-based unit; •b) at least two hydrocarbon-based volatile oils, •c) at least one saturated or unsaturated, preferably linear, solid fatty alcohol whose melting point is greater than or equal to 40° C., comprising from 16 to 60 carbon atoms. The invention also relates to a process for making up and/or caring for the lips, in which the abovementioned composition is applied to the lips.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition of water-in-oil emulsion type comprising: —from 8% to 70% by weight of an aqueous phase comprising at least one moisturizer/humectant, —from 30% to 92% by weight relative to the weight of the composition of a lipophilic phase comprising: —1% to 20% by weight relative to the weight of the composition of a polar non-volatile hydrocarbon-based first oil, a volatile or non-volatile, hydrocarbon-based or silicone apolar oil, the composition comprising at least one silicon oil; —a particular solid compound whose melting point is at least 30° C., the composition comprising not more than 20% by weight of the lipophilic phase of hydrocarbon-based apolar compound of synthetic origin, —at least one emulsifying surfactant system. the invention also relates to a lip treatment process in which the composition according to any one of the preceding claims is applied to the lips.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising particles of at least one polymer that is surface-stabilized with a stabilizer, the polymer of the particles being a C1-C4 alkyl (meth)acrylate polymer; the stabilizer being an isobornyl (meth)acrylate polymer chosen from isobornyl (meth)acrylate homopolymer and statistical copolymers of isobornyl (meth)acrylate and of C1-C4 alkyl (meth)acrylate present in an isobornyl (meth)acrylate/C1-C4 alkyl (meth)acrylate weight ratio of greater than 4; at least one hydrocarbon-based oil, at least alkyl cellulose, the alkyl residue of which comprises between 2 and 6 carbon atoms; and water. Abstract: A method of controlling the resolution of an image formed on a substrate comprises: (a) providing a substrate; (b) applying an image to the substrate by ink jetting onto the substrate a fluid composition comprising at least one surfactant, wherein the spreading of the fluid composition on the substrate in the presence of the surfactant is less than the spreading of the fluid composition on the substrate in the absence of the surfactant. The invention reduces the dot spreading which otherwise occurs when a substrate is imaged via ink jetting to prepare a printing plate.

Abstract: A printing plate precursor for direct receipt of an image-wise applied ink receptive layer the precursor having a desorbable surfactant adsorbed on at least one surface in an amount effective to improve the resolution of the subsequently image-wise applied ink receptive layer. The printing plate precursor can be used to prepare a printing plate having improved resolution. The printing plate may be prepared by (a) applying a desorbable surfactant to at least one surface of a printing plate substrate, (b) removing non-adsorbed surfactant from the surface, (c) applying a fluid composition containing an ink receptive material onto at least a portion of the surface in the form of a desired image, thereby providing an ink receptive image layer; and (d) removing the desorbable surfactant from any area of the surface which does not form part of the desired image.
