Abstract: In some aspects, methods of initiating a plasma arc in a plasma cutting system can include providing a plasma gas supply lead line extending between a power supply and a plasma arc cutting torch, where the lead line has a first segment proximate to the power supply and a second segment proximate to the torch, and an in-line valve within the lead line between the first segment and the second segment; selectively closing the in-line valve to capture a static volume of gas in the first segment; establishing a decayable volume of gas in the second segment; and initiating the plasma arc when a pressure of the decayable volume reaches a pressure value within a predetermined range.

Abstract: The present invention relates to hair colouring and or hair bleaching compositions comprising at least one oxidizing agent and a specified worm-like micelle phase thickening system. The compositions surprisingly provide improved hair colourant and bleaching compositions which deliver improved lift, lightening and colour delivery whilst minimizing damage which are easy to manufacture and have long shelf life stability.

In one embodiment, a hand protector is either permanently connected or releasably connectable to the sleeve and comprises one or more layers of high tensile strength fabric.

Abstract: A surgical model simulating certain aspects of the natural anatomical joint is made by first providing a male mould conforming externally to the general anatomy of an internal cavity of the joint. A coating of resilient impermeable penetrable material is applied over the male mould. The coating is removed from the male mould to form an open capsule. A closure is provided for the capsule attached to the open capsule so as to form an impermeable penetrable capsule, the capsule conforming internally to the general anatomy of the internal cavity of the joint and containing simulated joint components. The capsule is arranged within a mould, the mould being at least partly lined with a penetrable outer skin material, and the capsule is embedded in a penetrable packing material. Finally, the model is removed from the mould.
