Abstract: An instrument system for a vehicle in which information regarding the operation of the vehicle is displayed on the display of a portable communication device. Information regarding the operation of the vehicle may be sensed by at least one sensor. The sensed information may be communicated to a vehicle controller and/or transmitted to the portable communication device. The sensed information may be used by the vehicle controller and/or the portable communication device to derive information regarding the performance or operation of the vehicle and displayed on the display. The portable communication device may also retrieve or derive other information relating to the operation of the vehicle, such as information obtained from a remote server, and display the additional information for the user of the vehicle. The vehicle may be configured to receive the secure placement of the portable communication device in the vehicle, such as on a dashboard.

Abstract: A tape measure includes a housing having an opening and a measuring tape retractably carried within the housing and extendable via the opening. A locking mechanism is provided for maintaining the measuring tape in an extended position relative to the housing and the locking mechanism includes a lock actuator that is mounted to the housing. An illumination device is incorporated into the lock actuator. The illumination device includes a light emitting diode (LED) wherein the light emitting diode may be arranged on the locking mechanism to illuminate the measuring tape in an area adjacent to the opening and a user activatable switch for causing power to be selectively provided to the LED wherein the user activatable switch is mounted to an exterior surface of the lock actuator.

Abstract: Stroller trays and methods of mounting the same on strollers are disclosed. An example stroller tray mates with a tray mount mounted to the stroller frame proximate a seat. The example tray includes a tray portion and an arm. The tray portion is cantilevered on the arm to extend in front of or over a portion of the seat. When mounted to the stroller, the stroller tray does not extend completely from one side of the stroller frame to the other to facilitate egress to the stroller seat.
