  • Patent number: 6349777
Abstract: A post driver which is mounted to the three-point hitch of a tractor is provided with a support to reduce wobble of the post driver during operation and to facilitate mounting of the post driver to the tractor's three-point hitch. The post driver has a carriage and a ram movable vertically relative to said carriage. The carriage is mounted to a base. The base includes a mount adapted for mounting the post driver to a hitch of a vehicle. A support frame depends from the mount rearwardly of the carriage. The frame has a vertical member and a horizontal member, and generally vertically extending legs at the ends of the horizontal member. The legs are mounted to the horizontal member to be movable vertically relative to the horizontal member. The legs are spaced equidistantly from the carriage of the post driver.

  • Patent number: 5452768
Abstract: A soil tillage implement to be pulled behind a tractor having a conventional frame with one or more furrowing elements depending from the frame or plough share. Each furrowing element has a disc-like coulter, a shank, and a replaceable plough share mounted on the soil engaging end of the shank. One or more gauge wheels, which can be adjusted to vary the height of the implement from the soil so as to adjust the depth of the tillage extending down from the frame. Each gauge wheel employs a counterbalance spring assembly to support the weight of the gauge wheel during adjustment.

  • Patent number: 5282511
Abstract: A bearing block for use in providing the bearinged relationship between the carriage and reciprocal moving driving ram of a post driver. The carriage includes a pair of channel forming bearing surfaces between these two operating components so as to disseminate the impacting forces exerted through the bearings while the driving ram continuously pounds a fence or other post into the ground.

  • Patent number: 4773666
Abstract: A three point or other hitch for use in conjunction with a tractor, preferably for mounting onto its front end, a pair of side plates permanently mount onto the front side edges of the tractor, each side plate incorporating shaped cradles for holding the hitch thereto. The hitch incorporates laterally extending trunions for mounting onto the side plates, and the lift arms of the hitch have a stabilizing plate arranged intermediate thereof, in order to provide enhanced support. Each lift arm incorporates a clamp, at their frontal ends, with each clamp incorporating a support for holding a draw pin, and a dog associated with each clamp for locking the pin into position, but which can be manipulated by a cam for holding the respective dogs out of their locking position, so that any implement can be freed therefrom.

  • Patent number: 3985305
Abstract: A silage unloader is disclosed for use in cutting silage from silage stored in a silage trench or the like. The unloader comprises a frame means which is adapted to be connected to the three-point hitch of a tractor or the like. A vertically disposed boom means is secured to the frame and extends upwardly therefrom and comprises telescopically mounted boom members. A reel boom is secured to the boom means and extends therefrom and has a silage cutting reel means rotatably mounted on the outer end thereof about a horizontal axis. A double acting hydraulic cylinder is provided within the boom means for raising and lowering the boom means, reel boom and reel. An auger conveyor means is provided on the frame means below the reel means so that the cut silage will be gathered thereby and conveyed to a blower means for blowing the silage to a feed wagon, truck or the like. The boom means, reel and conveyor are hydraulically powered while the blower means is powered by the tractor PTO.
