Publication number: 20250360426Abstract: A ride structure is disclosed using rotating tunnel sections as part of a static water ride with or without variations in the tunnel cross-section and/or embedded three-dimensional features to disturb the water paths which carries vehicles with riders. The riders may exit the rotating large tunnel upstream and downstream and the volume and velocity of the water can be manipulated to change the ride experience.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2025Publication date: November 27, 2025Inventors: Hyuma Frankowski, Kelly Williams, Ross Flavell, Geoff Chutter, Ryan Sinitsin, Bruce Bradley, Ben Cornwell-Mott, Claudio Barrera

Publication number: 20250196015Abstract: A ride feature is disclosed using conjoined bowl structures formed of multiple bowl structures attached to each other. In a two bowl embodiment, the ride vehicle rides about at least a portion of a periphery of a first bowl structure and then about at least a portion of a periphery of a second bowl structure before exiting the ride feature. The ride vehicle may exit the conjoined bowl structure from either the first bowl structure or the second bowl structure. In alternative embodiments, the conjoined bowl feature may be comprised of more than two conjoined bowls, the bowls may be of different diameter, and/or the bowls may have a constantly decreasing or increasing diameter.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2025Publication date: June 19, 2025Inventors: Claudio Barrera, Boxiao Hu, Ben Cornwell-Mott, Ross Flavell, Bruce Bradley

Publication number: 20250153058Abstract: Embodiments herein include a system and apparatus for implementing a modular ride feature. The system has multiple conduits that include a first twisted conduit, a second twisted conduit, and one or more transitional conduits. The first twisted conduit is configured to rotate a ride experience around an axis outside of a central axis of the first twisted conduit, and orthogonal to the central axis. The second twisted conduit is configured with pockets for containing a plurality of images, the images corresponding to a visual effect, wherein the visual effect corresponds to an illusion of a real-time event.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2024Publication date: May 15, 2025Applicant: WhiteWater West Industries Ltd.Inventors: Curtis Perrin, Ross Flavell, Bruce Bradley, Andrey Khomovskiy, Kelly Williams, Diego Reckmann

Publication number: 20240416250Abstract: A play center is described that is formed from multiple interconnected, modular polygonal decking components attached to and receiving water from one or more monopoles. The monopoles contain pressurized water and includes ports for distributing water to various water features distributed around the play center. Monoliths are attached to one or more sides of each of the decking components and are comprised of one or more panels and frame elements. The monoliths are removably connected to the decking components such that each monolith may be removed from one side of the decking and reconnected to another side of the decking, or be replaced with a different monolith. The play center also includes one or more elevated water control stations hidden within a monolith that allow for various adjustments to be made to the output of water to the water features of the play center.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2024Publication date: December 19, 2024Applicant: WHITEWATER WEST INDUSTRIES LTD.Inventors: Ross FLAVELL, Mohammed Sahill RAFIQ, Paul HARRISON, Chris BIANCOFIORE, Eric SKINNER, Hamid BABAKI, Mark WESTON

Publication number: 20230113886Abstract: Ride features described herein may include a ride surface in which a rider may be maintained on a lateral side wall while traversing the ride feature. The ride feature may be in a spiral to turn the rider about a central axis. The ride feature may include a central opening that provides a perception that the rider may fall off of the ride feature. The properties of the lateral side wall may be manipulated so that the centripetal force is used to control the rider's speed and position on the lateral sidewall so that the rider is kept away from the inside edge of the central opening. The centripetal force can be changed by: varying the pitch of the helix of the lateral side wall, varying the radius of the helix of the lateral side wall, varying the friction between the ride surface and the rider, and combinations thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2022Publication date: April 13, 2023Inventors: Shane Jenson, Brad Weatherbee, Bruce Bradley, Ross Flavell, Claudio Barrera, Mark Vidal, Jeff Baldock
