  • Publication number: 20230271805
Abstract: An interlocked pay off reel comprises square or rectangular endplates that can be interlocked together to build a wall or skid of reels, and which allows the cable to be unspooled or paid out easily using a simple assembly. The pay off reel comprises two round flanges configured to hold respective ends of a cable spool. The flanges can be snapped to respective two square endplates, which elevate the spool and act as a stable base. The engagement mechanism between the flanges and the endplates permits the spool and flanges to rotate during pay off and applies frictional braking to prevent the spool from back spinning and freewheeling. Handles are built into the endplates so that the reel can be handled and moved easily. Interlock mechanisms on multiple sides and surfaces of the endplates permit the endplates to be locked to other endplates in all directions, allowing stacks of reels to be assembled.

  • Publication number: 20230144576
Abstract: An electrical contact suitable for use within data connectivity applications in which both power and data are conveyed over the same pair of conductors is configured with a staggered profile geometry that isolates the location of high-current disconnects while maintaining a surface that remains free of electrical arcing and erosion. The electrical contact is designed with two points of contact, and the staggered geometry ensures that only one of the two points of contact is exposed to electrical arcing when the connector is disconnected while under power, thereby protecting the other point of contact from arc-related surface damage.

  • Patent number: 8119915
Abstract: A cable management patch panel system having one or more vertical ducting enclosures and typically located in an equipment rack. The vertical ducting enclosure is integral with the patch panel system and allows for vertical routing of cables connected to the patch panel system. The cables are vertically routed by the ducting enclosure to other patch panels or equipment located along with the patch panel system in a commonly shared equipment rack or located beyond the equipment rack.

  • Publication number: 20080003638
Abstract: An article for holding a liquefied sample for the quantification of biological material in the sample includes a device having a reaction chamber enclosing a volume therein, the reaction chamber having an upper opening through which a liquefied sample can be poured and a plurality of discrete non-permeable compartments, each of the compartments having an upper rim and being configured and dimensioned to hold separate aliquots of a liquefied sample therein; and a gasket lid removably secured to the top of the device, the gasket lid being configured and dimensioned for sealing the upper rim of each compartment to prevent liquid communication between the compartments.

  • Publication number: 20070198748
Abstract: A power line communication (PLC) hub incorporates multiple network communication media and services for devices. Implementations can be plugged into an electrical outlet to furnish a single point for both electrical power and network connectivity. Each of the electrical outlets is tied through an electrical distribution system to a network through a conventional PLC bridge to provide network connectivity through the electrical distribution system using PLC technology. The PLC outlet hub can include various combinations of applications and/or services including Voice Over Internet Protocol (“VoIP”) gateway, media server, Internet router/gateway, Local Area Network (“LAN”), both wired and wireless voice and video conferencing capability, including a VoIP, Voice over WiFi (“VoWiFi”), Power Over Ethernet (“PoE”), Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n capability and (Wireless Universal Serial Bus “WUSB”/Ultra Wide Band “UWB”) wireless connectivity, and Blue Tooth. Versions of the PLC outlet hub can have an Ethernet IEEE 802.

  • Publication number: 20050238541
Abstract: A retaining clip for retaining reagent test slides in a stacked arrangement includes a first assembly having a first cover plate and at least two parallel, co-planar rails extending transversely from an inner surface of the first cover plate. A second assembly includes a second cover plate, and a rail receiving platform extending transversely from an inner surface of the second cover plate. The first cover plate and the second cover plate define between them a space for receiving the plurality of reagent test slides. The rails of the first assembly include ratchet teeth, and the rail receiving platform of the second assembly includes pawls. The pawls engage the ratchet teeth to prevent the separation of the first assembly and the second assembly and to securely but removably hold the plurality of reagent test slides in a stacked arrangement between the first and second cover plates.

  • Publication number: 20050135971
Abstract: A retaining clip for retaining reagent test slides in a stacked arrangement is formed as a unitary member and has first, second and third plates, each having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface of the first plate pivots towards the inner surface of the second plate, and the inner surface of the third plate also pivots such that the inner surfaces of the first and third plates at least partially face each other upon pivoting. The inner surfaces of the first and third plates are separated by a distance to accommodate the reagent test slides in a stacked arrangement. Alternatively, the third and second plates can be fixed rigidly to each other with only the first plate pivoting to at least partially face the third plate upon pivoting.
