  • Publication number: 20190265005
Abstract: A ballistic-resistant garment having an incrementally-adjustable fit, and methods of making and using such a ballistic-resistant garment, whereby the ballistic-resistant garment includes a front panel having a front panel pocket configured to receive a first ballistic-resistant insert; a back panel having a back panel pocket configured to receive a second ballistic-resistant insert; a front panel first fastener coupled to the front panel; and a plurality of discrete back panel first fasteners coupled in spaced apart relation to the back panel, whereby each of the discrete back panel first fasteners is configured to matably engage with the front panel first fastener to provide a first pair of releasably engaged fasteners which couple the front and back panels to fasten the ballistic-resistant garment about a torso of a wearer.

  • Publication number: 20180126626
Abstract: The present invention provides improved devices, systems and methods for repositioning teeth from an initial tooth arrangement to a final tooth arrangement. Repositioning is accomplished with a system comprising a series of polymeric shell appliances configured to receive the teeth and incrementally reposition individual teeth in a series of successive steps. The individual appliances may be formed from layers having different stiffnesses (elastic moduluses), and the stiffnesses of successive appliances may be different, or both.

  • Publication number: 20150351871
Abstract: A computer is used to create a plan for repositioning an orthodontic patient's teeth. The computer receives an initial digital data set representing the patient's teeth at their initial positions and a final digital data set representing the teeth at their final positions. The computer then uses the data sets to generate treatment paths along which the teeth will move from the initial positions to the final positions.

  • Patent number: 7452207
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and devices for determining an axis of upper and lower jaw articulation of a patient and modeling jaw movement about such an axis, particularly with the use of computerized visual images. The methods comprise providing digital data sets of tooth and bite configuration information which may be used to determine an estimated condylar axis of rotation for a patient. A number of data sets may be acquired and utilized for such estimations. Data sets may be obtained with the use of bite registers. Such registers may be formed by a number of methods and device designs of the present invention. The resulting digital data sets and axis of articulation may then be utilized to generate animated visual images of a patient's jaws in various bite configurations throughout a given rotation around the determined axis.
