  • Publication number: 20190313000
Abstract: A paint-applied digital imaging system may include a plurality of small pixel devices each including a photodiode, a battery, and an antenna. The plurality of pixel devices may be suspended in a liquid dispersion medium, such as a transparent paint, and brushed or rolled onto an extended surface, such as a wall. Each photodiode collects light, charging its battery, which powers the antenna. The antenna transmits a signal indicating the intensity of light incident on the photodiode to a base station. The signals sent by the plurality of pixel devices are received by the base station and converted into a digital image.

  • Publication number: 20180177231
Abstract: A system comprising a vaporizing device and a central server is described. The vaporizing device includes a housing and a cartridge, received within the housing, the cartridge including a predefined quantity of concentrate and an identification code associated with the concentrate. The vaporizing device further includes a control unit configured to read the identification code. The vaporizing device further includes a communication unit configured to transmit the identification code to a computing device of a user. The central server includes a database. The central server is configured to receive the identification code from the computing device and retrieve concentrate information corresponding to the identification code from the database. The central server is configured to transmit the concentrate information to the computing device for displaying to the user.

  • Publication number: 20170103525
Abstract: A system and method for characterizing tissues of a subject using multi-parametric imaging are provided. In some aspects, the method includes receiving a set of multi-parametric magnetic resonance (“MR”) images acquired from a subject using an MR imaging system, and selecting at least one region of interest (“ROI”) in the subject using one or more images in the set of multi-parametric MR images. The method also includes performing a texture analysis on corresponding ROIs in the set of multi-parametric MR images to generate a set of texture features, and applying a classification scheme, using the set of texture features, to characterize tissues in the ROI. The method further includes generating a report indicative of characterized tissues in the ROI.

  • Patent number: 9434477
Abstract: Duct assembly apparatus for use with aircrafts and related methods are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a unitary ring and a duct having a longitudinal gap to define a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge. The first longitudinal edge moves relative to the second longitudinal edge to enable the unitary ring to be positioned over an outer surface of the duct. A splice strap overlaps the gap of the duct such that the splice strap fixes the first longitudinal edge relative to the second longitudinal edge when the unitary ring is positioned over the outer surface of the duct.

  • Patent number: 9082191
Abstract: A method for segmenting a volume dataset is provided. During initialization a level set field within a volume dataset is initialized and an initial set of active voxels is determined in dependence upon the initialized level set field. In an iteration process the level set field for the set of active voxels is updated followed by updating of the set of active voxels. The iteration is continued until the number of active voxels is less than a predetermined threshold. Level set segmentation data are then determined in dependence upon the level set field and provided for, for example, graphical display or storage.
