  • Patent number: 11142442
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring the dynamic load moment and stabilization of a lifting vehicle is provided. The system is adapted for monitoring the stability of the vehicle on a real-time basis, and displaying the real-time dynamic load moment of the vehicle/cargo combination on a continuous scale on a user interface. The system may also include an object detection device oriented for determining the presence or absence of a floor surface within a specified distance from the vehicle in order to detect drop-offs in the floor surface surrounding the vehicle and alert the operator of same. A method for calibrating the system is also provided. The calibration method can include a series of lift and acceleration steps for collecting static and dynamic data in order to determine one or more coefficients associated with the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10815105
Abstract: A quick-connect connection system assembly for attaching attachments or tools to industrial and construction equipment for purposes of moving and placing materials and items, particularly heavy items, at varying heights relative to the ground. The connection system can have a mounting mechanism that generally comprises a rotatable latch that can be selectively retained in at least one of an open position and a closed position, including through the use of a magnet coupled with the mounting mechanism. The rotatable latch can be selectively rotated between the open and closed positioned via interaction with a cross member of the industrial equipment and the effect of forces acting upon the rotatable latch member, and with limited interaction by an operator of the industrial equipment.

  • Publication number: 20110232804
Abstract: The invention is directed to a shear device. The shear device comprises two mounting plates that form a first cutting member that is pivotally coupled to a second cutting member to facilitate moving the shear device between open and closed positions. The shear device further includes an extension arm extending from the mounting plates and pivotally connected to a rocker linkage device. An actuator is coupled to the first cutting member. The actuator has a piston slideably engaged in a cylinder, which is coupled to the rocker linkage device. The rocker linkage device is configured to pivot about the extension arm as the piston extends from the cylinder and to transfer force from the piston to a secondary linkage bar. The secondary linkage bar is configured to further transfer force to the second cutting member.
