  • Publication number: 20140243754
Abstract: Described is an apparatus for intraocular injection comprising an inner sleeve adapted to accommodate a syringe having a needle, a needle cover adapted to cover the needle, and an outer sleeve telescopically coupled to the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve includes a distal end adapted to engage the needle cover. Movement of the inner sleeve relative to the outer sleeve causes removal of the needle cover from the needle.

  • Publication number: 20140039391
Abstract: An apparatus for intraocular injection comprising a body adapted to accommodate an injection device, a displacement device coupled to a distal end of the body, and a sleeve coupled to the body and axially moveable relative to the body. The displacement device includes at least one rotatable member adapted to contact a superficial layer of an eye, and the sleeve engages and causes rotation of the at least one rotatable member as the sleeve moves from a first axial position to a second axial position. Rotation of the at least one rotatable member displaces the superficial layer relative to an underlying layer of the eye.

  • Publication number: 20040026977
Abstract: A lifting device suitable for assisting the elderly, invalids or those recuperating from surgery to rise from a seated position to a standing position includes a rigid base (2) connected by a hinge (4) to a rigid seat (3). A closed bag (5) is interposed between and is secured to the base (2) and seat (3). By inflating the bag (5) the seat may be raised from a substantially horizontal position to a raised position to assist a seated person to rise to a standing position. A cushion (17) may be provided on the seat (3). The device may be used in reverse to assist a user in moving from a standing position to a seated position. A suitable inflation pump and control gear is provided to admit air to and remove air from the bag (5) via a tube (12).
