Abstract: A system for performing an automated test is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a plurality of work orders and a plurality of constraints for scheduling a plurality of tests on a plurality of DUTs using automated test equipment (ATE) available on a production floor, wherein the ATE comprises a plurality of test cells, and wherein each test cell comprises a plurality of testers and an automated handler. The method further comprises developing a test plan to execute the plurality of tests, wherein the test plan is customized in accordance with the information in the plurality of work orders and the plurality of constraints. Finally, the method comprises scheduling the plurality of tests to the plurality of test cells to maximize throughput of the plurality of DUTs.

Abstract: A method of identifying error patterns during automated device testing comprises receiving a data pattern from a plurality of capture modules programmed on a programmable logic device, wherein the plurality of capture modules are programmable and operable to selectively capture data traffic to be monitored, and wherein the data traffic comprises a flow of traffic between a DUT and the programmable logic device. The method further comprises comparing the data pattern with known signatures in an error signature database. Also, the method comprises correlating the data pattern with one or more matching known signatures in the error signature database and assigning a score to each of the one or more matching known signatures in the error signature database based a level of correlation.

The method further comprises configuring the API to modify the default production flow to customize the plurality of test sequences in accordance with a user-specific API, wherein the user-specific API comprises a modification to the production flow in accordance with testing requirements of a user. Finally, the method comprises integrating the user-specific API with the API to customize the API for the user.
